A different way to experience Hello YOU Studios
Throughout the year, I bring a selection of special seasonal photography events to The Gather at The Dolphin, Poole.
These are shorter, event-style sessions created specifically around the season, with simple digital purchasing options that allow you to choose exactly how many photographs you’d like to take home.
The larger event space at The Gather also gives me the freedom to create seasonal setups specifically for these events and welcome more families across a small number of dedicated dates.
Most importantly, the standard of photography doesn’t change.
You’re still being photographed by Hello YOU Studios, with the same care, attention to detail and professional finish I put into my work every day.
The Gather simply offers another way for families to have beautiful professional photographs, with flexible digital collections starting from just one image.
This means families who may not have the budget for a full studio experience can still have professional seasonal photographs, which is one of the reasons I believe The Gather events are so important.

Halloween at The Gather is back for two days only.
Bring the children along in their Halloween outfits and I’ll take care of creating the photographs.
Appointments are limited across both days and, once they’re filled, Halloween at The Gather is finished for another year.
🎄 Christmas at The Gather
21st & 22nd November 2026
Christmas at The Gather returns for two days of festive photography at The Dolphin, Poole.
It’s a chance to update those all-important Christmas photographs, capture how much the children have changed and create images you’ll be able to share with family and friends over Christmas.
Appointments are available across both days and are limited.

The Gather gives me a larger event space for selected Hello YOU Studios seasonal events and allows me to create setups specifically for these limited dates.
Your booking confirmation will include the information you need for your particular event, including arrival details and anything you need to know before your session.
Because appointments run throughout the event day, please arrive at your booked appointment time and ready to be photographed.
Arriving late may reduce the amount of photography time available to your family, as the following appointments still need to begin on time.
What can I expect from my session?
The Gather sessions are designed to be short, relaxed and fun, giving us enough time to create a beautiful selection of seasonal photographs without it feeling like a long photography session for little ones.
When it’s your turn, I’ll guide you through the session from start to finish. You don’t need to know how to pose, where everyone should stand or how you’re going to convince your children to smile, that’s my job!
We’ll work with your children rather than expecting them to perform perfectly for the camera. Some children are ready to go immediately, others need a moment to work out what’s happening, and some simply have their own ideas about how the session should go!
That’s all part of photographing children.
Sessions last approximately 15 minutes
What if my child doesn’t sit still?
Please don’t worry.
I photograph children all the time and I don’t expect them to sit perfectly still and smile on command.
I want to capture their personalities as well as those gorgeous looking-at-the-camera photographs we all love.
I’ll talk to them, play with them and work with whatever they’re giving me on the day.
Because The Gather is a shorter event-style experience, there isn’t the same amount of settling-in time available as there would be during a full studio session. If you know your child needs a considerable amount of time to become comfortable somewhere new, please get in touch before booking and we can chat about whether The Gather is the right experience for them.
Can parents and siblings be photographed too?
Absolutely.
These sessions don’t have to be photographs of just one child.
Siblings can be photographed together and, where the particular setup allows, I’d love parents to get in the frame too.
So many parents have hundreds of photographs of their children on their phones but very few photographs that actually show them together.
You don’t need to love having your photograph taken. You don’t need to know how to pose.
I’ll take care of that.
For larger families or extended family groups, please check the individual event information or contact me before booking so I can make sure the setup is suitable for the number of people you’d like photographed.
What should we wear?
You don’t need to buy a whole new wardrobe for your session!
Before the event, I’ll share details of the setup to help you choose outfits that will work beautifully with it.
As a general rule, think about coordinating rather than matching. Choose colours that work nicely together, avoid very large logos or particularly distracting patterns and, most importantly, make sure little ones are comfortable.
For Halloween, costumes are absolutely welcome, that’s part of the fun!
For Christmas, you’ll be able to see the style and colours of the set beforehand, making it much easier to plan what everyone will wear.
Choosing your photographs
The event is completely free to attend, there is no session or booking fee.
You don’t need to choose or pay for an image collection before your session.
First, we create your photographs.
After your session, you’ll decide how many photographs you’d like to purchase and complete your purchase on the day.
Depending on the event schedule, you may be able to view your photographs with me immediately after your session and choose your favourites. On busier event days, you’ll choose the number of photographs you’d like to purchase and your proofs will be sent to you afterwards through the secure MySafeFrame app, where you can select your favourites.
All image purchases must be made on the day of your session.
Whichever way you choose, your proof images will be provided through MySafeFrame. Proofs are protected against unauthorised downloading and screenshots and are provided for selection purposes only.
Once you’ve selected your favourites, your chosen photographs will receive their final professional edit and your finished digital images will be delivered within 7 days of the event.
How much are the photographs?
I’ve deliberately kept purchasing at The Gather simple.
You can choose just one favourite photograph or create a larger collection if there are more you can’t leave behind.
1 digital image – £30
3 digital images – £45
5 digital images – £75
10 digital images – £120
Additional individual digital images are £30 each.
There is no requirement to purchase a larger collection.
You simply choose the photographs you love.
Why are The Gather photographs digital only?
All photographs purchased from The Gather are supplied digitally.
At previous events I offered physical prints for collection afterwards. However, returning to collect them wasn’t always convenient for families and a number of completed print orders remained uncollected.
Moving to digital delivery makes the whole experience much simpler.
There’s no second journey to make and no collection date to remember. Your purchased photographs are professionally finished and delivered securely online for you to download.
You can then keep them, share them with family and friends and arrange your own printing whenever you’re ready.
When will my photographs be ready?
Your photographs aren’t simply taken from the camera and sent straight over.
Once you’ve selected your favourites, each purchased photograph receives my professional editing and finishing before being delivered to you.
Your finished images will be ready within 7 days of making your final selection.
For Christmas sessions, the editing schedule is planned carefully so your photographs are delivered with plenty of time to enjoy and use them during the festive season.
The Gather or a Hello YOU Studios session?
Both experiences are photographed by me and both receive the same care and attention to the finished photographs, but they’re designed to offer different photography experiences.
The Gather is all about limited seasonal events, shorter appointments, specially created event setups and the freedom to purchase anything from one digital photograph upwards.
At Hello YOU Studios in Wallisdown, you’ll have a private studio appointment with more time dedicated to your family and access to my full range of studio collections and finished photographic products.
Neither changes the standard I expect from the photographs I create.
They’re simply two different ways to experience Hello YOU Studios.
A few things you might be wondering…
Do I have to decide how many photographs I want before booking?
No. You’ll choose after you’ve seen your photographs.
Can I really buy just one image?
Yes. One digital image is £30.
Do I have to buy photographs after the session?
No. There is no requirement to purchase a particular image collection.
Can siblings be photographed together?
Yes.
Can I be in the photographs with my children?
Absolutely, where the event setup is suitable and please don’t worry if you don’t normally enjoy being photographed. I’ll guide you.
Are prints available?
The Gather events are digital-only. Physical products are available as part of my full Hello YOU Studios experiences rather than The Gather events.
How will I see my photographs?
Depending on the event schedule, photographs may be viewed with me or through your secure MySafeFrame app proofing gallery.
What happens after I’ve chosen?
Your selected photographs are professionally finished and your purchased digital files are then delivered securely online.
Ready to make some seasonal memories?
